I think wew should move this to a forum post so its easier to read
bullet Marc on Tuesday 04 March 2008 - 05:35:25
Well the myspace page is still going strong " Click link "
We were called majikfish and we did play in Saltash. But most Saltash people will remember me in Uncle Fester along with Tim, Steve, Paul and Glen. Now that was a cover band but it was a punk cover band .
bullet Kristian on Monday 03 March 2008 - 15:49:44
Goodness Marc, I expected better from you..(in jest ....

X-Factor is a far far removed from the likes of whipping a crowd into a frenzy with a run of brilliantly interpreted famous songs....then once they're in love with you because you played their favourite songs....you've warmed the hearts ready for your own stuff...

What happened with any of your original songs then? Ere....what were you called as well, be I know of you... or people you might have played with, it'd be nice to hear demos if possible.... I can do the same..
bullet Marc on Monday 03 March 2008 - 04:13:34
Mate I played in a band for many years and we ONLY played original music personally its the only way to go else you may as well be on X factor
bullet Kristian on Sunday 02 March 2008 - 08:14:08
Quote Marc "Live music in Saltash its not cover bands though I hope"

Yep.... of course it is.... people want to hear the songs they recognise... and hey, if an artist happens to be writing material that's strong enough to put in the live set....then by all means throw that in too...it's how many bands get a break..... the Stereophonics were a cover band... All bands that start out should play a few covers...it's how the public can really tell if you're good or not....
bullet Kristian on Saturday 01 March 2008 - 20:27:16
Judging by the sad pathetic chavs on fore street tonight....it's a wonder why anyone is trying to do anything for Saltash' night life...!

it's such a shame that the main street of our town on a Friday and Saturday night is predominantly full of SCUM OF THE EARTH aggressive, low life, thick, ignorant, egotistical, drug dependant, violent, alcoholic, threatening, meat head, loveless, neglected, low life!
bullet Kristian on Saturday 01 March 2008 - 14:40:33
There are obviously some independently owned units, the ones that have been here for years, the card shop, Davies owns units, Couches owns units, other than that....

Ok, So I may be out of date.... I fancy understanding a little more about my local community before I open my mouth too wide, I'll take your advice there, Perhaps a meeting with B Cotton and B Reid is in order. I won't be accused of getting fact wrong then.
bullet Kristian on Saturday 01 March 2008 - 14:34:12
Ok, Kevin, I may be wrong. Just speaking as a local resident, am I right in saying that many of the units once owned by Ince Est, were sold to 'out of town' landlords who hiked the rent up and subsequently left Fore Street lined in Boarded up shops? And that local business struggle to meet these nationalised prices...Maybe the chamber of commerce could step forward and let us all know the plans for the future of our sad little street?
bullet kevin on Saturday 01 March 2008 - 06:36:27
How can you say that most of Fore Street is owned by Londoners! Get your facts right before you open your mouth. You do a great job advertising Icewarm here and in the next message put me right off coming in !
bullet Marc on Thursday 28 February 2008 - 14:06:02
Live music in Saltash its not cover bands though I hope
bullet Icewarm on Thursday 28 February 2008 - 11:52:56
Why not tell a friend about Icewarm....the more the merrier....bring half a dozen mates through the door...and you could be in line for a free Todka in return.. Icewarm xxxxx
bullet Saltash on Wednesday 27 February 2008 - 15:59:34
Lets just stop slagging everything off in Saltash can we????? livewire Youth Project is still there because it works! Icewarm is still there because it works..... the rest of Fourstree is owned by Londoners with NO interest in the welfare of Saltash.... so we've got to stick together and support our crumbling businesses.... why not stop shopping at vastly overpriced supermarkets....or taking the car over the bridge for a day out.....

It's YOUR town.... YOU'RE the ones responsible for screwing it up....while others work to make it right for the younger generation....

Have a heart....

I will see what I can arrange at the next meeting (15th) and perhaps we can set a date !
bullet Zeta on Wednesday 26 September 2007 - 14:17:13
That actually sounds like a good idea since the topic will already have been set and it's a good way to get everyone talking and introducced to the chat
bullet Marc on Wednesday 26 September 2007 - 08:04:40
maybe with this Mayfair topic the committee could arrange to be online in the chat room for people to talk to them live???
bullet Zeta on Friday 21 September 2007 - 11:24:09
That's what I was thinking as well. Sounds like a plan to me!
bullet Marc on Tuesday 18 September 2007 - 07:38:29
yes I agree everyone comes on the site at different times so at the moment it is hard to meet others, maybe a time should be set
bullet Zeta on Tuesday 18 September 2007 - 05:02:15
Been there a few times, but obviously no one has been about.

If people are checking the chat out, I think we all have different times which is making it hard to bump into others around
bullet Marc on Monday 17 September 2007 - 16:09:49
Thanks Zeta lets see if we can get some people talking
bullet Zeta on Tuesday 11 September 2007 - 07:49:37
The new live chat is great.
bullet Marc on Saturday 08 September 2007 - 09:10:33
